My Crowd

I've been trying to post something about the wonderful people in my life but have never really thought of the right way to put it or the most beautiful way to say it because, obviously, these people are worth so much more than words.
I move along with people who, in my own words, are so 'carefree' and yet so CARING. They are people who are ever so 'loud and talkative' and yet LAUDABLE! 'My Crowd', as I like to call them [though they do not know that :)] are the best thing for me in this life.
I do get new members each day but the old ones have already set that pace. There is no common or normal or easy way to describe the joy in my heart anytime I think of, feel, see or hear from any members of this 'clique' of mine.

With these ones, I can just be me and it is all that matters when we are together. My looks are not what draws us closer nor drifts us apart. My dress code never bores them or makes them avoid me. My attitude always stands for correction in a pleasant way because they know just how to say it at anytime if they have to. I hardly feel bad around such people and I honestly believe my life is graceful because they are around.
Everyday I thank my God for such a family of friends, colleagues and even acquaintances. They make life feel so much more fun and beautiful than it seems.

I hope to continually get the opportunity to meet with more and more and more...AND MORE of such wonderful people. And I never intend to lose or break that connection I feel because it is the greatest emotional thing that keeps me going.
Whenever I feel like I have no one to care for me, no shoulder to cry on, no soothing hand to touch me, no reassuring eyes to look into, no pat on the back to encourage me, no raised fist to cheer me on, no creased or raised eyebrows to direct me, no cautioning words to avoid trouble.....no one to APPRECIATE me......'My Crowd' is all I need to pull me back up and that is just enough for me. Nothing else means more to me than that.

And so I'd like to thank all the people in my life who have made some kind of impact. You, reading this now, just might be one of the most important people in my life. And this post is just for YOU.
